Head of Product • Solving business problems by building products

Avraham Ben-Tov

Head of Product • Strategy → execution → outcomes

I’m a business-first product leader who walks into messy problems, aligns leadership, and ships products that move the numbers.

Fintech, AI platforms, and consumer discovery experiences across American Express, AveryGPT, MoneyLion, and TuneIn. AI is a tool in the system—not the story—so the products land with customers and the P&L.

Available for Head of Product or Product Executive roles. Strong at discovery, platform strategy, AI-enabled workflows, and cross-functional leadership.

What you get when I walk in

Business-first product leadership that blends strategy, execution, and AI as a tool to accelerate outcomes.

Business-first decisions

Start from the P&L, customer reality, and constraints. Translate that into a narrative, bets, and a roadmap teams can rally around.

Outcome roadmaps Pricing & model thinking Exec-ready storytelling

AI, applied

Use AI where it removes friction and amplifies people. Design guardrails, partner with data and engineering, and keep the hype in check.

LLM workflows Trust & safety Measurable lift

0→1 and platform scale

Comfortable at inception and at scale. Sequence work so v1 ships fast, then platformize the wins so they keep compounding.

Sequenced bets Platform thinking Operational rigor

Calm, cross-functional leadership

Align executives, engineering, design, data, and go-to-market. Keep teams focused, unblocked, and moving toward the same hill.

Amex developer experience knowledge platform
Enterprise knowledge and AI • American Express
Amex Way Library for 6,600 engineers
Role: Knowledge Management + Gen AI Initiatives
Core problem: fragmented documentation, low discoverability, and slow onboarding for thousands of engineers.

Owned the Amex Way Library strategy and roadmap. Increased page views by 48% YoY and unique visitors by 51% across 6,600+ engineers. Aligned content, taxonomy, and interfaces with GenAI (LLM) initiatives so knowledge was AI-ready and discoverable.

What I did
  • Mapped pain points across engineering and positioned the Library as the single front door for standards, paved roads, and APIs.
  • Designed AI-powered personalized search and “dossiers”; evaluated LLM options and build-vs-buy for secure internal chat.
  • Launched role-based SDLC playbooks (Go, Python, Mobile, Web) cutting onboarding time by 35% and boosting tool adoption by 50%.
  • Built Copilot onboarding toolkit and workshops that drove 40% productivity gains while keeping compliance intact.
  • Authored strategy one-pagers and taxonomy guidance to reduce support requests and duplicated efforts.
Business result
  • 48% YoY page view lift, 51% more unique visitors across 6,600+ engineers, and faster onboarding to paved roads.

AveryGPT AI underwriting conversation
AI for commercial real estate • AveryGPT
AI brain for underwriting and investment decisions
Role: Head of Product • AI workflows + GTM
Core problem: investment teams drowning in spreadsheets, PDFs, and scattered market data; UI wasn’t how people think.

Led the pivot from point-and-click dashboards to a chatbot-first underwriting experience; authored system prompts and flows. Shaped roadmap, pricing story, and demo site (averygpt.com) while building structured/unstructured data intake and automation.

MoneyLion Discover feed personalized money content
Consumer fintech and content • MoneyLion
TikTok style financial content feed with 3× engagement
Role: Product lead • Personalization + creator ecosystem

Step 1 of 4

Explorer map

Navigate live radio and sports by geography, intent, and genre—reducing friction for tens of millions of listeners.

Operating system • how I run product

See the system, create clarity, align leadership, and ship. AI is part of the toolkit; the target is the business outcome.

01

Discover the real problem

Listen to customers, operators, data, and the business model. Map the system, surface the friction, and align on a crisp problem statement executives can agree on.

02

Shape strategy and bets

Translate the problem into strategy, clear bets, and trade offs tied to the P&L. Align executives and cross functional leaders so everyone sees the same hill.

03

Design the plan, then execute

Build a roadmap, sequences, and milestones that let engineering, design, and go-to-market move with confidence. Keep teams unblocked and focused on the outcomes, not ticket volume.

04

Learn, iterate, and scale

Instrument the product, read the signals, and refine. Decide what to double down on, what to cut, and where AI or automation can safely accelerate outcomes.

Where I have applied this thinking

A mix of public companies, growth stage startups, and founder partnerships across industries.

American Express Senior Product Manager, Amex Way Library and GenAI initiatives supporting thousands of engineers.
AveryGPT Head of Product for an AI brain for commercial real estate underwriting and investment decisions.
MoneyLion Product work on Discover feed, recommendation engine, and creator content in a leading consumer fintech app.
TuneIn Product work on search and discovery for a global audio platform serving tens of millions of listeners.

What leaders say

A reference from a director level product leader who has seen my work up close.

“Avraham brought the leadership, technical depth, and strategic vision we expect from a Senior Product Manager. He quickly grasped complex systems and translated that into user centered product strategy. He aligned cross functional teams, kept our roadmap grounded in business objectives, and helped us evolve in step with our generative AI strategy.”

Julie Rae Miller, Director, Digital Product Management, American Express

Who I am as a product leader

I work at the intersection of technology, business, and people. My default mode is to walk into a messy problem, listen hard, map the system, and then create a path from confusion to clarity.

I enjoy work where the stakes are real, the systems are complex, and the outcomes matter to customers and to the company. I am comfortable sitting with executives, digging into models with data scientists, and writing product specs that give engineers a clear target.

AI is one of the tools I use, not my identity. The center of my work is still the same: solve the right problem, build the right product, and help people do their best work.

Looking for someone who can walk in, see the whole picture, and drive product from strategy to shipped outcomes.
